CHARLESTON (JG-TC) -- Two men robbed WellCreek Pharmacy at approximately 8:46 a.m. Friday, police reported.

Deputy Chief Chad Reed of the Charleston Police Department said two black males approximately 5 feet, 10 inches or 5 feet, 11 inches tall went into the pharmacy, 1 West Lincoln Ave. One brandished a handgun and forced the employee in the pharmacy to the ground.

The two males made off with a small amount of cash and numerous controlled narcotics, according to a CPD press release.

Reed reported that the pair then fled on foot from the scene northbound on Division Street.

The employee complied with the two individuals and no one was physically injured during the incident, Reed said.

The two men have not been found, Reed said Friday afternoon.

The investigation is still ongoing.
