CHARLESTON -- A Charleston woman was arrested Thursday for fighting with paramedics who responded to a report of her being intoxicated.
Christa L. Connour, 30, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with the incident, according to Coles County court records.
A news release from Charleston police said officers responded to the 1100 block of Second Street on a complaint of an intoxicated person.
It said Connour was located, yelled obscenities and was intoxicated to the point of needing medical attention.
When a Charleston ambulance crew responded, Connour fought with paramedics and damaged some of their equipment, the news release said. It said she was eventually transported for treatment.
