DECATUR — Police are searching for a missing 16-year-old boy with high-functioning autism who was last seen early Saturday.

Police say Dominic D. Walker was last seen at 1035 W. King St. between 3 and 3:30 a.m. wearing a red sweatshirt and shorts. He lives in Mattoon and was visiting his father in Decatur at the time of his disappearance.

Dominic is described as white, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 120 pounds with a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are canvassing the area and searched wooded areas nearby, Sgt. Chris Copeland said Sunday morning.

In addition to autism, Dominic has been diagnosed with ADHD, police said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Decatur Police Department at 217-424-2711 (choose option No. 1), or 217-424-2734.

Copeland said police would not release more information at this time.
