MATTOON (JG-TC) -- Officers with the Mattoon Police Department made two drug-related arrests over the weekend.

The department reported in a press release that Kevin R. Malone, 57, of Mattoon was arrested at 5:42 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of North 15th Street on charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving with a revoked license. Malone was taken to the Coles County jail.

Separately, Kevin H. Roberts, 22, of Olympia Fields was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Logan Street on a charge of unauthorized possession of a forged prescription form. The charge alleges that Roberts attempted to use a forged prescription form in order to purchase medication at Walgreens. A second suspect fled from the scene in a motor vehicle and was not apprehended. Roberts was taken to the jail.
