MATTOON (JG-TC) -- A woman was arrested Saturday evening for reportedly threatening two people with a pellet gun, according to Mattoon police.
Angel R. Dare, 41, of Mattoon was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault just before 6 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North 15th Street, according to a news release.
Dare reportedly pointed the pellet gun at a female neighbor and the neighbor's small child during an argument, the news release said. It said Dare posted bond after her arrest and was released from custody.
Other arrests announced in the release were:
Gregg R. Myers, 41, of Mattoon, who was arrested about 2:15 p.m. Thursday for allegedly having methamphetamine at a hotel where he was staying.
The release said the arrest followed an interview of Myers by officers with the East Central Illinois Task Force. It said it took place in the 200 block of McFall Drive, which is in the vicinity of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.
The release said Myers was taken to Coles County jail after his arrest.
Chad E. Lucas, 43, of Mattoon, who was arrested for allegedly having methamphetamine found during a traffic stop.
The release said Lucas was stopped for traffic violations in the 700 block of North 31st Street about 9:30 p.m. Saturday and was found in possession of methamphetamine.
He was also arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended license and for a warrant from Cumberland County, the release said. It said Lucas was taken to the county jail.
- Jason A. Riddle, 43, of Mattoon, who was arrested for beating a small dog with a broom.
Riddle was arrested about 2:25 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Piatt Avenue and the incident allegedly took place in the same location the day before, the release said.
It said Riddle posted bond and was released.
- Aaron T. Butler, 23, of Mattoon, who was arrested for damaging a door during a domestic dispute.
Butler allegedly damaged the door of a residence in the 1000 block of South 17th Street on Sunday and was arrested later that day in the 900 block of Annis Avenue, according to the release.
It said Butler was given notice of a date for a court appearance and released.
- Michael H. Stone, 39, of Mattoon, who was arrested for using another person's credit card to make an online purchase.
The release said Stone reportedly made the unauthorized purchase on March 20 and was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the Mattoon Police Department. He was taken to the county jail, it said.
