TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Terre Haute Children’s Museum has announced that registration is open for its Summer Science Camp programs.
Trained and experienced educators will provide a blend of educational and interactive play experiences for all children. In addition to these programs, each camper will have an opportunity to explore the museum and spend time on the ropes challenge course.
Summer Sampler, June 10–14 from 8 a.m. to noon
Explore outer space, jump to new heights, and create delicious concoctions, as well as clicking into coding and constructing explosive experiments.
Messy Science, June 17–21 from 8 a.m. noon
Explore bubbly concoctions, slippery slime, explosive experiments, and so much more.
Culinary Concoctions, June 24–28 from 8 a.m. to noon
Bring the two worlds of cooking and chemistry together and, in turn, create appetizing treats.
Movement, Gravity, and Friction, Oh My! Pre-K Camp, July 1 3 or July 8–10 from 8 a.m. to noon
For preschoolers come to play, learn and discover the big questions of how and why things move.
Astronaut Academy, July 15–19 from 8 a.m. to noon
Travel through space and train to become official astronauts. Children will also examine real moon rocks coming to the museum from NASA.
Hands on Coding, July 22–26 from 8 a.m. to noon
Discover the basics of coding and the principles of programming with hands-on activities and projects.
Ropes and Recreation, July 29–Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. to noon
End your summer by getting active with the Ropes Challenge Course.
Summer Science Camp at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum is $115 for members and $125 for non-members per week; Pre-K camp is $75 for members and $85 for non-members. Every camp includes hands-on activities, playtime in the Museum, daily snacks, weekly guest or field trip, camp T-shirt and time on the Ropes Challenge Course.
