MATTOON — The city has scheduled the annual drawing to assign waterfowl hunting privileges at Lake Mattoon for Aug. 6.

The city has 12 waterfowl hunting blind locations at Lake Mattoon. Applicants must live in Coles, Cumberland or Shelby counties and be at least 18 years old.

Waterfowl drawing application forms are available 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 208 N. 19th St. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee. The application deadline is 4 p.m. July 29. The drawing will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 in the council chambers at City Hall.
