MATTOON — Family medicine, cardiovascular care and orthopedic surgery will be among the services at a medical clinic set to open in a development area just east of Mattoon.

The HSHS Medical Group and Prairie Cardiovascular facility is scheduled to open Monday in Coles Centre, according to a news release.

The release said the clinic will offer primary care and walk-in care and will add an orthopedic surgery outreach clinic in mid-July. Obstetrics/gynecology and specialties will be added in the future, it said.

Coles Centre is located at the northwest intersection of Illinois Route 16 and Lerna Road east of Mattoon.

“We are excited to bring patient-first primary and specialty care to the Mattoon community,” Melinda Clark, HSHS Medical Group chief executive officer, said in the release.

She said the clinic's partnership with St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham will make it "a one-stop shop for primary care with ongoing growth in specialty care as well.”

Family medicine services will be provided on a walk-in basis and by appointment, the release said. It said appointments will be available by calling 217-234-5110.

Consultations and follow up care in general cardiology as well as specialized care will be available onsite by calling 217-757-6120, according to the release.

It also said orthopedic services can be scheduled now by calling 217-540-2350.
