Mosquito spraying in Ashmore scheduled for Wednesday

ASHMORE — Aerial spraying for mosquito control is scheduled in Ashmore for Wednesday, according to an announcement from the village.

The announcement said the spraying is scheduled to begin around dusk. Rain or high winds would require the spraying to be rescheduled and alternative days are Thursday or Friday, it said.

The village's announcement said the next spraying is scheduled for Aug. 19.

It also said village officials are urging residents to prevent mosquitoes by eliminating standing water on their property. It said more information on mosquito control is available online at www2.epa.gov/mosquitocontrol.
