CHARLESTON — A problem with a gas line led to the closure of sections of two streets in Charleston Thursday afternoon.

City officials announced the street closings about 1:30 p.m. Thursday and an announcement saying they'd reopened was issued about a hour later.
The announcement said the incident led to closing traffic in both directions of Lincoln Avenue between Fourth and Sixth streets and of Sixth Street from Lincoln to Buchanan Avenue.
The announcement said gas line was hit during digging work.
