MONTROSE — A Neoga woman was cited for DUI and other offenses after her car was involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 in Cumberland County Wednesday afternoon.

Bonnie A. Swofford, 39, overcorrected when her car started to leave the road, causing it to spin out of control and be hit by the truck, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.

The release said the accident took place about 12:25 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of I-70 about a mile east of Montrose. It identified the truck driver as Robert L. Stonebarger of Anderson, Ind.

Swofford was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use, an expired license and expired registration, according to the release.
