Firefighters conducted an odor investigation at 12:05 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South 17th Street. Nothing was found.

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 11:49 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of DeWitt Avenue. They found that the alarm was caused by a faulty appliance.

Mattoon police

Dana L. Warman of Casey was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign for a collision with a vehicle driven by Jeffrey S. Connelly of Mattoon at 3:05 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Avenue and South Logan Street.

A vehicle driven by Jessica M. Loy of Altamont struck a guardrail at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday while exiting Interstate 57 onto Charleston Avenue.

Carson S. Rebollo of Mattoon was ticketed for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident for a collision with a vehicle driven by Adam J. Weinstock of Mattoon at 8:14 a.m. Wednesday at Marshall Avenue and 21st Street. The Mitchell-Jerdan Ambulance Service took Weinstock to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center for treatment of injuries.

Vehicles driven by Carrie A. Bridges of Mattoon and David S. Sweet of Mattoon collided at 11:18 a.m. Nov. 30 at Charleston Avenue and South 14th Street.
