Candy Buy Back

Anna Brown, Aubrey Brown, Adeline Brown, and Auxiliary Member Cinda Held show off the 38.5 pounds of candy collected at the "Candy Buy-Back" event.

STRASBURG —  Strasburg Liberty Unit #289 of the American Legion Auxiliary held their first “Candy Buy-Back” event on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Their mission was to buy-back the excess Halloween candy from the local trick or treaters. The Unit paid $1 a pound for the candy that was brought in. Over 38.5 pounds of candy were collected. The candy that was collected will be sent to three of our servicemen who are overseas to share with their comrades.
