Betty retired from Eastern Illinois University after many years working in Booth Library and Thomas Hall, where she became a mother figure to many students away from home for the first time.
Alzheimers slowed her down in her final years but did not diminish her ornery side which has left her family with many stories and memories. Special thanks to the many friends who brought a smile to her face in her final years.
No services will be held as her wishes were for cremation and her children to spread her ashes in a location that was special to them. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Southern Illinois Chapter Alzheimers Association, 805 W. De Youngst Suite B, Marion, IL 62959. Arrangements: Caudill-King.
