I give Vladimir Putin high marks for intelligence. He exposed Russian Defense Minister Grachev, who was using Bill Clinton’s Oxford roommate, Russophile Strobe Talbot, naïve backing of Yeltsin as Russia’s first president of Russia. Grachev was planning to remake the Soviet Union with Russian military, heaven forbid...

On July 25, 2008, Aziz Tafro wrote about genocide and identified Igor Girkin (Strelkov) as a member of the First Russian Cossacks that helped Bosnian Serbs murder hundreds of Bosnian men in Visegrad and document the rape of hundreds of women by the Serbs and Russians. Children and elderly were locked in houses, set on fire and burned to death.

Girkin a became Minister of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic that Putin gave weapons to fight the Ukraine. The U.S. countered with cutting off the Well. Hillary Clinton supplied the Donetsk rebels the use of MasterCard and Visa for international transfers of money that hurt Russia’s international trade.

Putin learned and began to support Syria’s Bashar Assad fighting U.S.-backed Syrian rebels created by the U.S. ambassador handing out money -- then weapons.

The Islamic State’s appearance gave Putin a chance to redeem himself and came to the rescue of Assad. But the blowing up of Russian apartment houses in 1998 had Putin bombing the Chechens when it was Russian Intelligence killing Russians. To make amends, Putin let Chechens rebuild their land using profits from their oil production. But 14,000 Chechen volunteers joined the ISIS and then turned against ISIS as it is un-Islamic. Result, Putin had sales of stolen oil by Erdogan’s son he sold for $8 a barrel to Israel and Turkish oil companies, giving ISIS money to buy weapons and supplies.

So the July 15, 2016, coup against Erdogan by the Turkish “Peace in Turkey, Peace in the World Movement," my friend Mehmet surrendered and was killed with thousands. Neither NATO or Putin will tell the truth what Erdogan has killed all of the top people of the coup as both want Turkey on their side. Putin praises him for defending democracy but Erdogan’s feathers were ruffled and he went on a killing spree.

But he is still a member of NATO and has just bought top Russian anti-aircraft missiles. He is Putin’s lackey and will lead a group of Turkish businessmen to Serbia to create exports for Turkey. He will develop Serbia’s oil reserves and made an oil refinery for Serbia that was Bosnia’s oil. In dividing Bosnia between Croatia and Serbia, Richard Holbrooke made sure the Serbs got it. He had the three American diplomats locked in a French troop carrier that was blown off the road by a land mine when the convoy was stopped to let another convoy pass. Richard Holbrooke and General Wesley Clark were in a car behind them. The photo of a large cylindrical hole in the road appeared in the Houston Post that showed the Clinton White House lied. It was the best newspaper in Houston.

Dutch UN troops had been assigned to protect the people of Srebrenica but stood back and watched. Dario Netherlands reported that a Dutch soldier joined in the rape of a 16-year-old girl who killed herself.

Radio Netherlands shortwave news was reliable and Serbia jammed Radio Netherland’s wavelength or broadcast on it. Voice of America was created in WW II as a propaganda tool and was jammed by Cuba, a ban placed on VOA that was removed in 2013.

Erdogan has detained an unknown number of Americans since the coup. Mr. Trump has stated he will not pressure Erdogan to release them.

Andrew Patterson was born on a dairy farm two miles south of Sullivan on Feb. 13, 1930. He has attended eight universities for a total of 10 years, lived in 10 countries for 28 years, traveled in 50, speaks and writes Spanish, reads French and German, has written seven encyclopedia articles, and numerous reports and studies for World Bank, Pan American Union, and Economic Development.

Descendant from 15 American Revolutionary ancestors (16th was Cherokee), history is his life's blood, as is telling the truth. He states, "The day I stop learning is the day I am dead,” and “The hardest thing in life has been to unlearn what has been taught to me as the truth.” He has learned there are many men who have stopped WW III from China, Russia, and other countries and it cost them their life. President John F. Kennedy was one of them.
