I am writing today on behalf of the Mattoon Police Benevolent and Protective Association of Illinois Unit #35 (PBPA #35). The unit voted overwhelmingly to endorse Greg Voudrie for Coles County Sheriff.
Our membership is very familiar with both candidates and what has happened at the Coles County Sheriff’s Department since December of 2014. The incumbent has been an absentee office holder who has lost the confidence of law enforcement and many taxpayers.
Greg Voudrie is the most qualified and experienced candidate in the general election. We believe Greg will bring back accountability and fiscal discipline to the position of Coles County Sheriff. Greg has the character, integrity and temperament to make positive change.
It is time to say goodbye to phony smiles and empty promises. The people of Coles County deserve a Sheriff who will show up for work and earn the respect of both rank and file law enforcement and taxpayers.
Our officers strongly encourage voters to “ask a cop” and then mark their ballots for Greg Voudrie on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018.
