AOC boys beat Faith Christian
DAYTON, Tenn.--The Arthur Okaw Christian boys' basketball team defeated Faith Christian (Virginia) 66-39 in the NACA Basketball Nationals on Thursday.
A balanced AOC attack with 5 players in double figures led to the win in the round of 16. Faith Christian of Roanoke, Virginia, is led by the 7'2" Division I recruit Brendan Newton who scored 23 points.
AOC, now 26-7, was to play Grace Christian of Fayetteville, Georgia, at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

AOC girls lose
DAYTON, Tenn.--The Arthur Okaw Christian girls' basketball team fell in the first round of the NACA Division 5 National Tournament 53-42 to FC Boyd Christian (TN).
FC Boyd held an eight point lead three minutes into the second half when AOC's Amanda Franklin scored eight unanswered points to tie the game at 29 - 29 with 3:01 left in the third period. Franklin then went to the bench after being fouled hard. FC Boyd Christian took advantage of that and ended the third quarter with an 8 - 0 run and never looked back after that.
The Lady Conquering Riders were led by Franklin who had a game-high 19 points, including two three pointers, to go along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Audrey Henningsen also had seven steals and Jessica Franklin had four assists.
