CHARLESTON — Last season’s scoring leader Morris Woods is no longer with Eastern Illinois’ men’s basketball team.
“He was dismissed from the university and we’re trying to find a new school for him,” coach Jay Spoonhour said. “I really like Morris and the year he had last year and I hope for nothing but the best for him.”
A 6-foot-3 guard who transferred two years ago from Moraine Valley Community College, Woods averaged 11.0 points while shooting .510 from the field as a junior for the Panthers.
