NORMAL — The Casey-Westfield and Shelbyville boys and girls cross country teams, as well as a runner from Tri-County, are to compete in Saturday's state meet at Maxwell Park in Normal. 

Participating for the Casey girls are eighth-graders Mashayla Besch, Jasmyn Self and Grace Towles, as well as seventh-grader Harley Fields. Sixth-grader Ellie Shull and fifth-graders Kayla Clark and Julia Eckerty are also set to compete in Class 1A, which is to start at 9:30 a.m.

Tri-County's Grace Hopper, an eighth-grader, is also in Class 1A. 

In the Class 1A boys, Casey sixth-graders Lincoln Becker and Caden Burkibile are to run as well as fifth-graders Jose Aleman and Heath Fields.  

The boys race is to start at 10:15 a.m.

Shelbyville is in Class 2A, and the boys participating are eighth-graders Will Bendler, and Calvin Miller, along with seventh-graders Ryan Forlines and Zayne Hankins. Sixth-graders are Seth Forlines, Tucker Kull, Kelton Logan and Grady Ogden, while Will Nohren is the lone fifth-grader. 

The 2A boys race is to start at 11:45 a.m., while the girls are to start at 11 a.m.

Participating for the Shelbyville girls are Ellie Nohren, an eighth-grader along with Caroline White, Anna Tynan and Jordynn Mayhall, all seventh-graders. Tessa Koehler, Maisie Kull, Katie Nohren, Elizabeth Reed and Briley Schutt are the sixth-graders from Shelbyville set to compete, while Tessa Bowers is the lone fifth-grader.
