Lake Land men split

GODFREY — Lake Land’s men’s basketball team defeated Lewis & Clark Community College 70-65 Saturday, but lost to Vincennes University 100-61 Sunday.

Allante Harper led the Lakers on Saturday with 23 points. Scott McGann and Josh Brewer also scored in double figures with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Brewer led the team with three steals and three blocks. Tromon Weston grabbed nine rebounds and Hunter White had four assists.

Josh Jefferson led scoring Sunday with 19 points and Tra Landers also broke into double digits with 12 points. Kevin Williams got six rebounds and Sean Kromah had three steals.

Lake Land is now 8-12 and hosts Southwestern for a Great Rivers Athletic Conference game Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Lake Land women's game rescheduled

MATTOON—Saturday’s Lake Land women’s non-conference basketball game against Illinois Central College has been postponed until Tuesday at 6 p.m.
