PARK HILLS, Mo. — Lake Land softball extended its winning streak to five games by sweeping a doubleheader over Mineral Area College Friday 16-0 and 31-3.
Frankie Izard was 8-for-10 on the day with two runs batted in, while Rachael Quaritsch was 7-for-9 with four RBIs. Amaya Eubanks was 8-for-10 with nine RBIs while Kali Husman was 7-for-9 with four RBIs for Lake Land.

Mattoon graduate Abe Lee was the winning pitcher in the first game, allowing three hits, no earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings.
The Lakers scored seven runs in the first inning of the first game and had a nine-run second inning and a 10-run fourth inning.
The 31 runs are the most by the Lady Lakers this season.
Lake Land, 34-14, is to play host to Shawnee Community College at noon Saturday in a Great Rivers Athletic Conference doubleheader.
