Lake Land volleyball's season comes to an end

Lake Land volleyball's season ended Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Indian Hills C.C. in the semifinal round of the Midwest District B Tournament.

The Lakers were 8-2 in their last 10 matches entering Saturday and end the season with a 23-15 record. They hosted the four-team tournament after finishing second in the Region 24 tournament a week ago, beating Shawnee and Vincennes before losing to John A. Logan in the title game.

Charleston volleyball beats Effingham to win first regional title since 1997

Indiana Hills, the No. 6 team in the NJCAA, moved to 34-3. After beating Missouri State-West Plains, the Warriors are heading to the national tournament.
