Sulivan's Emily White, Avery Still named first team all-Central Illinois Conference girls' basketball

Sullivan, a team that finished 22-7 overall, had two players selected to the 2019-20 all-Central Illinois Conference girls' basketball team. Junior Emily White was one of four unanimous all-CIC picks, while senior Avery Still, who is headed to Lake Land, was also on the six-member all-conference team. 

White, a 5-11 forward, led the Lady Redskins in scoring with an average of 16.1 points per game. She averaged 5.3 rebounds and tied for first in steals per game at 3.8. She also averaged 1.7 assists per game. 

Still, 5-10, averaged 11.6 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game. She also averaged 2.2 steals, a team-high 1.5 blocked shots and 1.3 assists per game. 

White was on the second team last year, while Still received honorable mention. 

On the six-member second team were Sullivan sophomore Lilly Null, who was honorable mention last year and Shelbyville sophomore Trinity Wade. Wade helped the Lady Rams go 12-18 overall by averaging 16.8 per contest. 

Shelbyville freshman Mia Wade was one of five players to receive honorable mention. 

Titus first team all-NTC

Neoga's Olivia Titus, a 5-8 senior guard/forward, who averaged 14.8 points per game for the 16-16 Lady Indians was on the six-member first team in the National Trail Conference. Neoga finished 5-3 in the NTC. 

WSS's Mikala Nichols, a 6-0 center/forward junior, was on the seven-member second team. Nichols averaged 15.3 points per game for the 16-13 Hatchets, who went 2-6 in the NTC. 

Three area players made up the seven-member honorable mention team, including Neoga's Kylee Phillips and Kelsey Partlow as well as WSS's Hannah Hayes, who was also honorable mention last year. 

Brownstown/St. Elmo's Claire Wilhour was selected as the MVP of the conference. 

Richardson second team all-LIC

In the Little Illini Conference Casey-Westfield's Eva Richardson, a 5-8 guard/forward, was on the five-member second team. Richardson averaged 12.5 points per game for the 3-21 Lady Warriors. 

Casey's Freshman Audrey Hosselton was one of nine players to receive honorable mention. 

Richardson earned honorable mention last season.
