PARIS -- Casey-Westfield seniors Scotty Mahan (6-1, 290), Nate Fouty (5-11, 180) and Jakob Self (6-3, 215) were all named to the 24-member first team all-Little Illini Conference football team for the 2019 season.
Mahan was one of five offensive linemen named, while Self was one of four defensive linemen and Fouty was one of four linebackers named to the first team.
Casey went 6-4 and reached the first round of the Class 1A playoffs before falling to Athens 42-7. The Warriors went 5-3, good for a third-place tie with Flora in the LIC. It was the first time Casey had made the playoffs since 2014, which was also the last time the Warriors had at least six wins as that team went 9-2.
Mahan helped the offense average 6.8 yards per play and 25 points per game as well as 293.8 yards per game, while Self had 31.5 tackles, including a team-high 14.5 tackles for a loss. He forced a team-leading three fumbles and recovered one. Fouty led the team in tackles with 53.5, including five tackles for a loss. He also recovered two fumbles.
The defense allowed 19.2 points per game and 271.3 yards per game.

Self was also named a second-team lineman, while Dawson Dallape was one of the 24 players named to the second team. He was named as a receiver.
Layden Duniphan was one of nine players to receive honorable mention status, while Storm Washburn was one of two to be named in the category of at-large.
Repp named honorable mention volleyball
NEWTON - Casey-Westfield sophomore Kennedy Repp, a defensive specialist/right side player for the Lady Warrior volleyball team, was one of nine players to receive honorable mention status in the Little Illini Conference.
Casey finished 8-29 overall and 2-6 in the LIC, good for seventh place.
