Three combined players from Mattoon and Charleston volleyball have been named to the All-Apollo teams, which were released Tuesday.

Charleston junior outside hitter Kat Blase was a first-team all-conference selection, while Trojans libero Hannah Buescher and Mattoon outside hitter Grace Earp were second-team selections.

Blase led Charleston with 292 kills in the regular season. She was second on the team with 33 aces and 46 blocks before the start of the postseason. Buescher had a team-best 271 digs and 34 aces through the regular season and finished third with 42 assists.

Blase was a second-team All-Apollo selection as a sophomore in 2018.

Charleston (25-12) finished 8-4 in the conference and tied for second place with Taylorville. The Trojans won the most games in program history and clinched their first regional title in 22 years by defeating Effingham on Oct. 31, a match in which Blase had 18 kills in three sets. They lost in the sectional semifinals to Waterloo on Monday, 25-21, 25-23.

Mattoon (14-16) tied Effingham for fifth in the Apollo at 4-8. The Green Wave lost to Herrin in the regional semifinals.
