NORMAL — Casey-Westfield advances to the Class A state softball championship game Saturday with a 2-1 eight-inning win over Havana. However, the Lady Braves fell short in the championship 6-3 to Ottawa Marquette. 

Casey finished 18-3. 

In the title game, Casey led 3-2 after three innings. However, Ottawa Marquette scored four in the fifth for the win. 

Ashtyn Nash was 1-for-4 and drove in two runs for the Lady Braves, while Paige Cutright was 1-for-4 with an RBI. 

In the semifinal game, Cutright held Havana to just one hit. She had 11 strikeouts and walked only two. 

Maya Redman was 2-for-4, with a run for Casey, while Nash was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Cutright helped herself by driving in a run as well.
