Okaw Valley boys and Casey-Westfield girls to run in Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A state cross country meet

NORMAL — The Okaw Valley Middle School and the Casey-Westfield junior high girls cross country teams will be competing in the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A state meet at Maxwell Park. The girls race will start at 9:30 a.m. and the boys at 10:15 a.m.

Casey's Benjamin Leichty, a seventh grader, will also be running in the 1A meet. 

In Class 2A boys Shelbyville eighth-grader Luke Brewer and Sullivan sixth-grader Jonathan Iacobazzi will be competing, while on the girls side Shelbyville eighth-grader Caroline White will be running. The girls race is set for 11 a.m. and the boys at 11:45 a.m.

Okaw Valley members are Xander Ashley (sixth grader), Ryan Forlines (eighth grade), Seth Forlines (seventh grade), Zebulan Francisco, (sixth grade) Dominic Herold (eighth grade), Camden Moore (seventh grade), Andrew Neal, (sixth grade) Carson Nixon (sixth grade), Grady Sparks (seventh grade) and Parker Spellman (seventh grade). 

Casey runners are Kaylee Clark (sixth grade), Julia Eckerty (sixth grade), Whitney Fuller (sixth grade), Audrey Goble (fifth grade), Kaitlyn MckInney (sixth grade) and Ella Whitacre (fifth grade). 

The Class 1A awards ceremony will take placed at Normal West at 11:45 a.m., while Class 2A is set for 1:15 p.m.
