Parkland College has announced Justin Kirby as the 2026 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient along with this year's candidates for the college's 59th Commencement.
CEO and founder of Kirby Wealth Management Group, Kirby earned his associate degree in business administration from Parkland College in 1994. He played on the college’s golf team, an experience that shaped his appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and goal-oriented performance.
Today, he is part of Kirby Wealth Management Group, managing over $1 billion in client assets and serving individuals and families across multiple states nationwide. As founder and CEO, his firm is committed to providing thoughtful, client-focused financial guidance built on long-term relationships and trust.
Beyond his professional work, he is invested in giving back to the communities Kirby Wealth Management Group serves. He is an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Parish and supports several local and national organizations, including Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Cunningham Children’s Home, the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and the Eastern Illinois Food Bank.
Kirby will be honored at Parkland College's Arts and Sciences and Career and Technical Education Commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
